Each time in Paris, I go to the Musée d'Art Moderne, Centre Georges Pompidou and if lucky there is a temporary exhibition of an artist like David Hockney or, this time, Alina Szapocznikow. I take many close-up photos as I meander through the collection and I find interesting that certain close-up photos such as that on the left of the Portrait of Greta Prozor by Matisse could easily be the work of an abstractionist...I enjoy the Musee de l'Orangerie where I see paintings by Cezanne, Picasso, Matisse, Renoir, Utrillo, Derain as well as Monet's grand 'Water Lilies'....Street photographing can be fun as is that of the girl below.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Visiting my French family in the Provencal countryside, near Avignon, is always pleasurable and this time was no exception. I love walking among the nearby olive grooves, the vineyards and the apple, pear, apricot orchards.
